I'll be closing this blog with immediate effect.
18 months, 222 posts.
I started this blog to challenge myself. Documenting aspects of life kept my passion alive as I embarked on professional photography. It kept me sane during periods of photographic brain-drain, and gradually became an integral part of my life.
What photography means to me has taken a paradigm shift in the past few months, and I feel this blog has served its purpose. Will I post here again? Time will tell.
Thanks for walking through these 18 months with me.
(p.s. There's still maverick.blogging)

flynn at southbridge
Popped by jazz@southbridge last night to catch James Flynn.

Flynn and the trio

The crowd (Derek and Peiyan)

James Flynn

Aya Sekine on piano

"The Unforgettable Tour"
Flynn's a versatile singer with a great sense of humor. Captivating the audience with his repertoires, he seems like he's having tonnes of fun when singing on stage.
The CD's wonderful, but you really got to catch him live.
If music be the food of love, play on...

we are singapore

fact 1 - i marched in the 1999 national day parade as part of the scout contingent.
fact 2 - my army company had to dismantle the viewer stands in kallang stadium after the parade in 2003. (i believe it is because we did not march -_-")
i feel totally patriotic today because i watched the parade on tv. (have not done so in years)
happy birthday singapore!
